AmaWaterways River Cruises - Book with Peace of Mind

AmaWaterways wishes to offer you additional flexibility and peace of mind as you make plans for a wonderful river cruse vacation. To do this, they are offering special provisions which allow guests with new or existing reservations to purchase AmaWaterways’ Travel Waiver Plus*. Travel Waiver Plus provides cancellation for any reason, up to 24 hours prior to the start of your AmaWaterways booked services (river cruise, land extensions, air etc.).

Should you decide to cancel your river cruise for any reason, you will have the following options based on date of cancellation:
  • Cancellation received up to 7 days prior to start of AmaWaterways services: Future Cruise Credit** covering cancellation penalties and the balance will be a monetary refund calculated based on their standard cancellation policy for services purchased through AmaWaterways.
  • Cancellation received from 6 days to 24 hours prior to start of AmaWaterways services: Future Cruise Credit** issued for 100% of AmaWaterways services to be used towards any sailings within 24 months of cancellation date.
For all new or existing reservations for Europe and Southeast Asia (deposited or paid in full), Travel Waiver Plus can be added up to 48 hours prior to the start of AmaWaterways purchased services. For Africa Safaris & Wildlife Cruises Travel Waiver Plus must be purchased at or after final payment within 90 days from departure only.  Travel Waiver Plus pricing is as follows:
  • $80 per person – for those who purchase AmaWaterways Cruise Protection Plan*
  • $175 per person – if purchased without AmaWaterways Cruise Protection Plan* or if travel protection plan was purchased independently

AmaWaterways’ Travel Waiver Plus is only applicable to FIT and Group bookings and must be purchased by March 31, 2021. Travel Waiver Plus is an additional $80 per person – for those who purchase AmaWaterways Cruise Protection Plan (applicable to U.S. residents); $175 per person – if purchased without AmaWaterways Cruise Protection Plan* or if travel protection plan was purchased independently. Applies to reservations that are deposited or paid in full for Europe and Southeast Asia; paid in full and within 89 days from departure for Africa Safaris & Wildlife Cruises. Travel Waiver Plus is not applicable to Secrets of Egypt & the Nile. Travel Waiver Plus allows guests to cancel for any reason up to 24 hours prior to the start of their AmaWaterways purchased services and covers cancellation penalties in the form of a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) for services purchased through AmaWaterways.

Travel Waiver Plus does not cover custom services or AmaWaterways’ Cruise Protection Plan, which is non-refundable. Travel Waiver Plus does not include any additional benefits. Future Cruise Credit, issued via the Travel Waiver Plus program, will cover cancellation penalties and the balance will be refunded based on our standard cancellation policy for services purchased through AmaWaterways. Future Cruise Credit is valid for any sailings within 24 months from the day your cancellation was received (cancellation must be received up to 24 hours prior to commencement of AmaWaterways booked services). FCC may be applied as a credit to cruise, land, air, and any other services on the reservation (excluding initial deposits, Cruise Protection Plan and Travel Waiver Plus). AmaWaterways’ Cruise Protection Plan and Travel Waiver Plus are non-refundable. Future Cruise Credits previously applied to final payment have no cash value and will be reissued in the form of a new credit. Future Cruise Credit applied to Africa reservations has additional restrictions; ask for details. AmaWaterways Cruise Protection Plan can only be purchased prior to final payment. This limited time offer with special provisions may be changed or withdrawn at any time; other restrictions may apply. By purchasing Travel Waiver Plus, you acknowledge your acceptance of these terms and conditions; standard cancellation terms and conditions no longer apply.
