AAA Opens First Car Care, Insurance and Travel Center in CT

Today marks the opening of the very first AAA Car Care, Insurance and Travel Center in Connecticut, which means motorists can now get their vehicles repaired and get their licenses renewed, book a trip or get an insurance quote …all under one roof. 

“Customer service is always priority one for AAA and, with so many people pressed for time these days, convenience is key. This is a one-stop shopping experience for both members and non-members alike.” says Amy Parmenter, spokesperson for AAA in Greater Hartford. “And, because the new Car Care Center offers Saturday and Sunday hours, AAA customers can come in for service at whatever time works best for them".

In addition to Car Care, Insurance and Travel services, the Southington store will include a new AAA Driving School location as well.

An Investment in Connecticut

The new 11,000 square foot AAA in Southington is a relocation of the AAA Plainville store, previously at 17 Farmington Ave. The Southington store will employ 10 new Car Care employees in addition to the 18 AAA associates already employed by AAA in Plainville. This relocation and expansion demonstrates a significant investment in the future of AAA in Connecticut and allows the organization to maintain a strong presence in Hartford County.

The Southington location will include 8 service bays for vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs such as tires, brakes, tune-ups, air conditioning and cooling systems, battery replacements, and electrical work. 

“Many people are keeping their vehicles longer, thus making vehicle maintenance more critical than ever,” says Randy Saly, Manager of the new Car Care facility. “AAA wants to ensure that reliable, trustworthy repair services are always available to motorists.”

DMV 'Express' Location with EARLY Hours

In addition to the opening of the new Car Care facility, AAA is excited to be re-opening another DMV Express licensing center.

“DMV has a very strong, longstanding relationship with AAA Allied Group. This latest DMV Express gives customers another convenient option to renew driver’s licenses in the area,” Commissioner Michael Bzdyra said.  “This is a testament to a great partnership that offers innovation to better serve Connecticut residents.”

Monday thru Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm; Saturday 8am - 2pm.

The AAA Car Care Center is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sundays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

AAA’s Car Care Insurance Travel (CCIT) Centers offer expert and affordable car care services to members and non-members alike, although AAA members will enjoy a lower price on car care services, with a ten percent discount on repair labor for Basic and Plus members, and a twelve percent discount for Premier members
