Driver Skills Assessment

Driving skills not as sharp as they once were? Now may be a good time to get a Driver Skills Assessment. Have an instructor ride with you during a routine drive in your car to evaluate your driving patterns, identify your strengths/weaknesses and give you suggestions to help improve your skills. StartSmart Online Parent Session

StartSmart is an online webinar for parents of teens who are –or soon will be learning to drive. This online course prepares parents to navigate their teen’s learning –to-drive experience. A two-hour webinar demonstrates how to reinforce what your teen is learning driver education and how to maximize the practice driving that you’ll do with your teen. Teaching essential elements of safe driving in an interactive and innovative way, this online program aims to ensure that safe driving habits are developed and maintained for life.

How to Drive Online

How to Drive online is a novice driver education supplemental course. You’ll find a 25-hour course is available on mobile devices. Innovative delivery including video, simulations, and interactive exercises to enhance retention, and convenient and self-paced delivery with the most up to date information from scientifically validated sources.

Safe & Sober: A Guide to Driving in Maryland

The MVA requires persons that possess a driver's license from another country complete this program before they obtain a Maryland license

Designed to provide driver education for out-of-country driver license applicants

Promotes safe driving, identifies and describes the dangers of impaired driving while addressing Maryland laws regarding impaired driving

Note: Persons who currently possess a driver’s license from another state in the United States, a U.S. territory, Canada or the Yukon territory are not required to attend this program.
