Click the “Request Duplicate Card” link under the quick link section. A permanent replacement card(s) will be sent via the US mail in 7-10 business days. If you are traveling and require immediate assistance, please contact one of our AAA Branches to receive a temporary membership card.
At this time AAA does not offer the ability to transfer memberships through our website, AAA.com. Please call 1-866-MEMBERS or visit one of our AAA Branches to process the transfer of your membership. There is currently no fee associated with transferring your membership. Please check with the receiving club regarding member benefits and services included with your membership.

You may call for Roadside Assistance whenever you need it and receive up to four service call entitlements per membership year at no charge under the AAA Basic, Plus, and PlusRV plans. For any additional calls in the same year, you will still receive service; however, you will be charged for it at a special member rate.

Some toll roads (including the Garden State Parkway) provide their own roadside assistance and will not permit AAA to come to your aid. In some of these cases, your membership card will be accepted in lieu of payment. Otherwise, just pay for the service, get an itemized receipt, complete the Emergency Road Service Reimbursement Application, and submit your claim to the address on the application within 30 days from the date of service.
If AAA Roadside Assistance is not available and you obtain service from a non-AAA facility, you are entitled to reimbursement up to the amount it would have cost us to provide the service under similar circumstances. Except for certain toll roads, where AAA service is restricted, you must make every effort to secure AAA Roadside Assistance first. To be reimbursed for non-AAA facility expenses, you should contact our Member Relations department. Reimbursement will be based on prevailing commercial rates for the region, in accordance with our guidelines, in the event AAA service is not available or legally restricted.
Provided you request more than one service, when you place your initial call for assistance, your membership should cover both services under the same entitlement. If you should need to call later in the same day for another service; you will be charged another Road Service call entitlement.
Call 1-800-AAA-HELP (1-800-222-4357). Wherever you are in the U.S. and Canada, your call will be dispatched to a nearby AAA/CAA affiliated service facility that can help you-24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
This is not a covered service under AAA membership; however, your vehicle may be towed to a facility of your choice to provide assistance.

AAA Members who utilize our Automatic Renewal convenience billing program receive membership cards that are valid for three (3) years of service. Your membership card will remain valid through the dates listed on the card as long as you pay your annual membership dues and remain a member in good standing. Please refer to the ‘Valid Thru’ date that is printed on the front of your membership card. If your card has expired and you have not received a new membership card please call 1-866-MEMBERS (1-866-636-2377). A permanent replacement card(s) will be sent via the US Mail in 7-10 business days. Yes, AAA does tow disabled motorcycles, however, you must be a Plus RV member. View Plus RV coverage.
Yes, debit cards may be used provided they maintain the logo for MasterCard or Visa. (check cards) An initial authorization is obtained and a hold is put on the funds required. If the authorization is obtained when placing the Road Service call and later it is determined that a charge is not necessary, the funds will posted back to the bank account in the next 7-10 business days. The time frame it takes for the funds to be posted back to the bank account is determined by the financial institution your account is held.
We take special measures to prepare for unusual weather conditions. However, the volume of service calls during extreme weather or poor road conditions can cause delays. Under these circumstances, we cannot guarantee a normal response time. During local or regional state of emergency, services may need to be prioritized, and some may be temporarily suspended.

Membership dues are billed annually, however AAA Members who utilize our Automatic Renewal convenience billing program receive membership cards that are valid for three (3) years of service. AAA will provide towing service for travel and boat trailers under Plus RV coverage.
All AAA Battery Warranty services must be placed through 1-800-AAA-HELP in order to have a qualified AAA Battery Technician honor the AAA Battery Warranty. Removal or replacement of the AAA battery by any person, other than the qualified AAA Battery Technician will void the warranty.
Some Approved Auto Repair (AAR) facilities do provide a Show Your Card & Save discount as well as some "Special Offers". To check if a participating AAR facility has "Special Offers" or a SYC&S discount, please visit Approved Auto Repair. You can search for an AAR facility by zip code or select a "City" from the drop-down window. The list of AAR facilities in the area will display a "Yes" for "Special Offers" or the SYC&S image for the SYC&S program.

Please be advised that AAA reserves the right to request documentation of your name change (i.e. marriage certificate, driver’s license, etc) in order to process a name change request.
The AAA Basic, Plus, and PlusRV plans do not cover car fires as a part of the Auto Travel Accident Expense benefit. The following criteria must be met in order to qualify for this benefit:
- The car you're in is disabled due to an accident with another vehicle or object.
- You're 100 miles or more from home.
- The car cannot be safely driven.

To receive new /replacement stickers for your vehicle please contact AAA at 1-866-MEMBERS. New sticker(s) will be sent via the US Mail in 7-10 business days.
